報告簡介：

Prof Xiaodong Chen will present his latest research work in millimetre wave (mmWave) and THz technologies in his Lab at Queen Mary University of London.   His work includes THz antenna measurement and quasi-optical systems for space applications, high power mmWave sources for nuclear fusion, THz time-domain spectroscopy for biological applications, mmWave communications and imaging. He will focus on the latest development in mmWave imaging for personal security detection.

報告人簡介：

Xiaodong Chen (Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of IET) is a Professor of Microwave Engineering in School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London. He received B.Eng. degree in Electronic Physics from University of Zhejiang, Hangzhou, China in 1983, and Ph.D degree in Microwave Electronics from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu in 1988.

He is the Founding Director of Joint Research Lab on Electromagnetic Theory and Applications between Queen Mary University of London and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. His research interests are in microwave and THz antennas and devices, wireless communications and bioelectromagnetics. He has co-authored four textbooks, over 260 journal papers and 500 refereed conference papers.
